One thing we know as garbage collection experts in Pitt  and Lenoir County is how important it is to get rid of clutter. It’s so important to not let your home fill with trash, let us take care of it. Whether you just want to reset or make a small change, here are 7 things to throw out in the next 7 days.

1. Those Old Receipts

Go ahead, dig through your purse and wallet. If there’s no reason to save the receipts- by all means throw them out! These receipts are just occupying space and making more mess.

2. Old Cosmetics

Don’t keep old make up- if it’s been more than 6 months, it’s time for it to go. Same goes for lotions, colognes, and shampoos. It’s not going to work well and there’s probably a reason you haven’t used it. Throw it out now.

3. Expired Coupons and Junk Mail

Get rid of all that paper. Why did you even keep this in the first place? These aren’t even remotely useful. Do yourself a favor and chuck it.

4. Empty Storage Containers

If you’re not using these for storage, you probably don’t need them. Believe it, there is actually such a thing as too many boxes or storage containers. Get rid of them.

5. Unused Rewards Cards

If you’re not using them already, you either don’t go to the store enough or care enough about the rewards to be using it. Make sure there aren’t any charges and cut those cards. Let them go and lighten your wallet.

6. Those Clothes You Never Wear

If you’re not wearing it, you don’t definitely don’t need it in your closet. Far too often people buy and keep clothes because it represents the type of person they want to be. You don’t have room for that.
If you can’t make space to wear it, find someone who can. Donate it or sell it if you can.

7. Worn Out Sheets and Washcloths

If they’re worn out and especially if you’re not using them, get rid of them. It’s probably time for new ones anyway. Only make room in your home for high quality things you’ll use again and again.
