1. Drill Holes in Outdoor Cans
Of course this isn’t recommended for our Countryside Sanitation cans, but it’s a great idea to drill holes in the bottom of your outdoor bins. This is because you’ll be able to wash out the inside of the bin, no gross water dumping required.This is also helpful for allowing rainwater to drain if it gets rained in. All you have to do is rinse using a hose. Then all you have to do is allow it to dry out.
2. Strategize Where You Store Trash
Location is everything. Outdoor trash cans can attract bugs and animals so you need to keep that in mind when you choose election. Of course, if you go the garage route, the bugs and animals could be attracted there. It’s more about what’s the best place for that for you.
3. Clean it Regularly
This has come up in many blog posts but we can’t emphasize enough how important a clean trashcan is for trash pickup. Every month, just take a moment to clean that bin out. All you usually need is a water hose if you do it regularly. if you have a bigger mess, using a mild dish soap does the trick.
